About this workshop:
Practical workshop on techniques of enameling without the use of a kiln, with a torch, on copper and silver.

Objectives:
Acquire technical skills in torch enameling on copper and silver.

Who is it for:
Anyone with or without experience in jewellery making, wanting to learn about enameling.

Introduction to Enameling (theoretical)

• Safety rules and equipment

• Types of opaque enamels and metals to be enameled

• Cleaning and conservation of enamels

• Enamel melting points

• Auxiliary materials

• Technical constraints in the various production stages

• Technical solutions for integration into final parts

• Tools and materials

• Cleaning

• Preparation of the different work areas

Enameling flat surfaces (practical)

• Cleaning

• Counter enameling, one color, sugar point, multiple colors, sgrafitto, stencil, drawing with auxiliary materials, drawing with enamels, inclusions

Finishing and maintenance (practical)

For students with at least 80% of sessions attendance.
